12. Recording, content and publicity
The XP Arena name, logo, site, game and artwork belong to us. You may share links and screenshots; you may not copy the site or use our branding as your own.
Recording tournaments
By entering an XP Arena tournament — at the venue or online — you agree that we may record it, and that we may use those recordings commercially. This is a condition of entry and it is not optional for competitors.
This covers:
- Gameplay footage, screen capture, live streams, replays, photographs and video of your matches, and commentary about them.
- Your XP Arena name, your handle, your results, your standings, and your image and voice as they appear in that material.
You grant XP Arena a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free licence to record, reproduce, edit, broadcast, publish and distribute that material, in any medium, to run and to promote XP Arena and its competitions — including in advertising and other commercial use. No fee, royalty, share of revenue or other payment is due to you for it, now or later, and entering a tournament is your agreement to that.
We will not sell or license your image or footage of you to a third party for that party to use in its own products or advertising, and we do not take ownership of anything you create yourself. Stream or post your own matches as much as you like.
Photography at the venue
We may photograph or film around the lounge for promotion. If you are not competing and would rather not appear, tell any staff member and we will respect it. That choice does not extend to tournament footage, which is covered above.
